Fans protest outside Old Trafford

There's still anger about the failed European Super League

Several hundred fans have gathered outside Old Trafford this afternoon to protest at the club's involvement in the failed European Super League.

The owners of Manchester United have apologised to their fans. United vice-chairman Joel Glazer admitted they "got it wrong" and promised to "rebuild trust with supporters".

A review of English football will look into how supporters can have a greater say in the way their clubs are run.

The government has brought forward the fan-led consultation following the controversy surrounding the European Super League.
