Jogger fighting for life after Stockport collision

A female jogger's fighting for her life in hospital after a crash at Stockport on Saturday afternoon (18th April).

She was on Styal Road at Gatley just after 3pm when there was a collision involving a black BMW 118D car.

The 34 year old was taken to hospital.

The driver of the car, a woman aged 30 was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drug driving, Greater Manchester Police say she's subsequently been released from custody under investigation.

GMP's PC Simon Venguedasalon of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said, "Our thoughts are with the woman and her family while she remains in hospital.

"Were you in the area or did you see the car prior to the collision? Perhaps you have dashcam footage that might assist us?

"If so, please help our investigation and get in touch."
