Man dies after being knocked off motorbike in Stockport

The 23 year old was taken to hospital with injuries to his head and neck, but wasn't able to be saved.

A motorcyclist has died after being hit by a car in Stockport.

The 23 year old was travelling along Brinksway around 9.30pm on Tuesday night when a red B-Max Ford turned the corner onto Alder Grove and crashed into him.

He was taken to hospital with head and neck injuries - but sadly died a short time later.

Police are appealing for anyone with dash-cam footage to get in touch.

PC Andrew Nicholson, of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This was a tragic accident where a man has sadly lost his life. Specialist officers are with his family and supporting them through this horrific time.

“If you were in the area at this time and saw the collision or have any dash cam footage that could assist our enquiries then please get in touch.”
