Man seriously injured in Swinton assault

A man has suffered serious injuries in an assault in Swinton.

Police were called to the incident on Malcolm Avenue yesterday morning.

An appeal for any doorbell, dashcam or CCTV footage has been launched.

In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: "Officers were called to reports of an incident taking place on Malcolm Avenue in Swinton at around 8.07am.

"A man was seriously assaulted and attended Salford Royal Hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not life-threatening or life-changing.

"Police are now appealing for anyone with Ring doorbell, dashcam or CCTV footage that can assist their investigation to come forward.

"Officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw a black Audi and white VW Golf acting suspiciously in the area at the time."
