Council assess those most at risk from betting shops.

Gamblers who find themselves betting over their heads could be offered more support thanks to a new study by Manchester City Council.

It's hoped the research will lead to a better understanding of which areas in the city are most affected by gambling issues.

It comes as new regulations in April mean bookmakers will need to prepare a local risk assessment.

Those most at risk will be identified and new betting shops may be relocated away from with more vulnerable people.
