Manchester to host 'For the love of the Force' Star Wars convention

The UK's biggest Star Wars convention will this year take place in Manchester, just two weeks before the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits UK cinemas on the 18th December 2015.

Visitors will be able to fulfil dreams of using a light sabre like a Jedi with a training school run by Andrew Lawden, a stunt double for Liam Neeson in Star Wars Episode 1.

There will also be the unique opportunity to meet Darth Vader as David Prowse, who played the formiddable character, will be in attendance along with other special guests from the films.

Fans can also forward to a photo opportunity with Darth Vader, Storm Troopers and C-3PO, question and answer sessions, stalls and exhibitions, sets including the Ewok Village and ​an orchestra playing the iconic score throughout the weekend.
