Mum's desperate appeal to help dying son

Five-year-old boy with brain cancer needs £200,000 treatment in America

The mother of a five-year-old boy from Rochdale who has a terminal brain tumour has launched a fundraising appeal asking the public to 'help save our boy'.

Joshua McCormack has defied the odds so far after he was diagnosed in October last year and underwent life-saving surgery.

But in a Facebook appeal his mum Nicola wrote:

'I am in so much pain writing this but Joshua's tumour has progressed, he is now terminal. Nothing can be done.

Me, Kev and the family are broken.

I just hope I find some reserved strength for Joshua's sake because at the moment I am at rock bottom and no use to anyone.

We were warned this would happen but he has been doing amazing we didn't think it would be so soon after treatment.

We are looking into immunotherapy at the university of Florida as there is nothing available in the UK. It's a clinical trial but it's a chance we have to take. Treatment costs in the excess of £200'000 (this is not funded on the NHS)

..........I have always used this page as a vent, spread awareness and to write how proud I am of Josh and his achievements but now I am using to beg.

Those who have met josh know how adorable he is - always laughing and smiling, he does not deserve this at all. Well now he needs your help.

We have 40k in savings from previous fundraising efforts and I can't thank everyone enough. We hoped we'd never have to use this money but unfortunately that time has come.

If anyone can help us to try and save our boy please please do.

Many charity's offer wish's but we never personally got round to asking for any, now my only wish is this: if there are any charities or people who know of any charity who are following Joshua and can fund travel expenses abroad, the insurance or even help towards the cost of treatment, please get in touch.

This is a desperate plea.

My boy's only wish is to live'
