Two more teenagers arrested following Bury triple stabbing
Three men were taken to hospital on Monday after an air ambulance was seen landing near Bury Market
Police investigating a suspected triple stabbing near Bury Market on Monday have arrested two more teenagers.
Two boys, aged 17 and 16, are being questioned on suspicion of violent disorder, while a teenager arrested on Monday has been released without charge.
Greater Manchester Police has also confirmed extra patrols will be taking place over the coming days.
The force has also been granted extra stop and search powers in the area, which will last until Wednesday night (March 13).
Superintendent Mike Walsh from GMPâs Bury district said: âOur priority is always to keep our communities safe and we will be extending this Section 60 into tomorrow evening.
âI understand this incident will be of huge concern for everyone that lives and works in Bury.
"We are working hard to ascertain a full picture of what has happened and we will arrest those who we believe are responsible.
âExtra patrol officers have been deployed, both on foot and in patrol cars.
"These officers are there to keep you safe, if you have any concerns, they will be happy to provide reassurance and listen to any of your queries.â
