Urmston man completes 'flipping' crazy charity challenge

Craig Keatley's been walking coast to coast in flippers!

A man from Urmston's been causing a bit of a stir on social media by walking past some of the region's most iconic biuldings and landmarks in flippers.

Craig Keatley's completed 174 miles in just eight days, from Withernsea to Liverpool, to raise money for the Christie.

We caught up with him on one of his training sessions in Urmston:

On Friday Craig took his challenge to the Trafford Centre - where he was greeted by smiling shoppers.

He completed his challenge in the sunshine on Sunday on Crosby Beach - raising thousand of pounds for the Christie.

Craig Keatley said “It’s been an amazing journey and the support of people all across the North of England has really spurred me on to keep going, even in the extreme heat”

Alison Niven, regional centre director intu Trafford Centre said “We are so proud of Craig and all he has done and it really made our shoppers smile seeing him in his flippers”
