A 15 year-old boy's been arrested - after a Southport player was allegedly subjected to online racial hatred and abuse on social media during a match with York City.
It happened on Saturday 9th October.
York City have thanked police and Southport FC for their "cooperation and assistance".
In a statement, North Yorkshire Police said: "A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in relation to this incident. He has been released on conditional bail and enquiries are ongoing."
