A man's been seriously injured after an assault in York city centre.
It happened in the Bridge Street and High Ousegate area of the city between 2.30am and 4.30am on Sunday 10 October.
The victim was taken to hospital with injuries to his ear and head - a man was arrested in connection and has been released under investigation.
In a statement, North Yorkshire Police said: "Police are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident, and are particularly appealing for witnesses to the assault or anyone who may have captured the incident on mobile phone or CCTV."
