Quad bikes driven along A64 after thefts in York

The bikes were stolen in Murton on Tuesday evening.

A 22 year-old man's been arrested and released on bail after four quad bikes were stolen in York.

There were two separate thefts at a compound in Murton on Tuesday evening.

Three of the bikes were driven along the A64 towards Leeds and are still missing - the other was found abandoned near Elvington Lane.

Anyone who has any information about the thefts, or who may have seen the vehicles on the A64 or elsewhere, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.
