Charges to be trialled at Hampshire recycling centres
The County Council is considering bringing back a £5 fee for non residents

There could be some big changes to the recycling centres in Hampshire in the coming months.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, a number of measures have been in place for the safety of residents.
At the county's 24 household waste recycling centres, a booking system is in place and the normal £5 charge for non residents is not being implemented.
Changes
As lockdown is due to ease on the 21st of June, Hampshire County Council is now considering:
-Extending the booking system
-Reinstating a charge of £5 for non-Hampshire residents visiting HWRCs
-The removal of glass banks (which was due to happen in April)
-Testing the feasibility of pedestrian access
To begin with, the Council will trial pedestrian access at three sites if agreed (Hedge End, New Alresford and Waterlooville)
A decision is due to be made on all of these points on the 17th June.
