10-year-old suffers serious injuries after Rotherham crash

A 10 year old boy has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Rotherham.

South Yorkshire Police say Broom Road has since reopened - anyone with information is urged to get in touch.

A spokesperson from the force said: "We were called at 1.10pm earlier today (10 April) to Broom Road in Rotherham following reports of a road traffic collision.

"It is reported that a white Audi A4 was involved in a collision with a 10-year-old boy who has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"The driver of the Audi has remained at the scene and is cooperating with officers' enquiries.

"A section of Broom Road was closed while officers carried out their work but has since been reopened.

"We would encourage anyone with information in relation to this collision to contact us on 101 quoting incident number 413 of 10 April 2024.
