A joint investigation into the cause of a fatal house fire in Chesterfield has found the most likely cause was a naked flame igniting combustible materials.

Emergency Services were alerted to the fire at a property on Staunton Close at 02.44 on Sunday 7 April.

A 65-year-old female, and a 31-year-old male were declared dead at the scene.

One further occupant was out of the property on arrival of fire crews.
