Pep Guardiola reminded Barcelona fans what they were missing as he masterminded a 3-1 win over his old club at the Etihad.

The Blues came from behind to beat the Spanish giants and move to just two points behind them in Group C of the Champions League.

Things looked bleaked for City after the first half hour as Lionel Messi opened the scoring and news came through that Borussia Monchengladbach were winning against Celtic, leaving the Blues sitting third in the group. Ilkay Gundogan's equaliser turned City's fortunes around as they began to take control of the game.

A second half Kevin De Bruyne free kick and another Gundogan strike sealed the win for City sending the Etihad into euphoria and giving the home side their first ever win over Barcelona.

Celtic earning a point against Borussia Monchengladbach meant City moved to second place in Group C.
