United and City faced differing fortunes that weekend as the Blues won a tricky away tie at Burnley and the Reds were held at home to West Ham.

Pep Guardiola's side came from a goal down at Turf Moor to defeat Burnley 2-1 and claim back to back Premier League wins for the first time since September.

Two goals from Sergio Aguero cancelled out Dean Marney's opener and means the Blues now sit in third place in the Premier League, level with second placed Liverpool and a point behind leaders Chelsea.

While the Blue half of Manchester were left celebrating after Saturday's win, it was different story for the Red half as United hosted West Ham on Sunday.

Diafra Sakho headed the visitors into the lead after just 90 seconds to leave United stunned. The Reds rallied though when Zlatan Ibrahimovic levelled the scores less than 20 minutes later it seemed as though United were going to end a run of three successive home league draws.

It wasn't to be for United as the visitors kept the Reds at bay with matters going from bad to worse for Mourinho who was sent to the stands for kicking a water bottle.
