Official England team photo released for World Cup 2018

The tournament starts on Thursday 14th June!

We are now just two days away from one of the biggest sporting events in the world, the 2018 FIFA World Cup. With excitement building ahead of the football tournament, which is taking place in Russia, England's official team photo has now be released.

Featuring manager Gareth Southgate, his backroom staff and all of the players, including captain Harry Kane, the official squad photo shows the team looking very smart in tailored suits from team sponsor Marks & Spencer.

The photo was taken at the team's domestic base, St George's Park in Burton-upon-Trent, before they head off to Russia ahead of their first game against Tunisia on Monday 18th June.

Last month, manager Gareth Southgate announced his 23-man squad going out to Russia. Despite a few players missing such as Adam Lallana, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joe Hart, the team is looking very strong.

Defenders: Kyle Walker (Manchester City), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Ashley Young (Manchester United), Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur), John Stones (Manchester City), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Harry Maguire (Leicester City), Phil Jones (Manchester United), Kieran Trippier (Tottenham Hotspur).

Midfielders: Eric Dier (Tottenham Hotspur), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Dele Alli (Tottenham Hotspur), Jesse Lingard (Manchester United), Fabian Delph (Manchester City), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Chelsea).

Forwards: Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Raheem Sterling (Manchester City), Jamie Vardy (Leicester City), Danny Welbeck (Arsena)
