England Under 21s manager Gareth Southgate has acknowledged he might not have Manchester United Striker Marcus Rashford with his team for long.

Rashford is in the squad for the Euro 2017 qualifier against Norway on Tuesday, making his under 21s debut.

After an impressive start to his senior career at United scoring eight times including twice on his debut on February 25th this year in a 5-1 win against Midtjylland in the Europa league, Rashford made it into the Senior England Squad for their disappointing 2016 Euros campaign and made two substitute appearances.

Knowing how much of a talent Rashford is the U21s manager accepts it is only a matter of time before the striker makes the jump up to the senior side permanently.

Southgate noted: “Sam Allardyce had four excellent forwards yesterday but you never know what happens with injuries, so it is difficult to plot from month-to-month.”

However, Southgate plans to utilise Rashford for as long as he has him at his disposal and seems to be extremely happy with how the Wythenshawe born striker has mixed into the team. “The most pleasing thing has been his mentality. This is an easy group to get on with but he looks like he has been here a long time. His mentality has been excellent.”

With young talent such as Dele Ali and Eric Dier making the jump up to the senior squad quickly as they did it should only be a matter of time before Rashford follows in their footsteps.

United fans have been praising Rashford on social media ever since his debut, now even the odd city fan is too...
