Manchester United renew Ibrahimovic's contract til 2018.
Jose Mourinho today confirmed that Manchester United will renew Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract retaining his services for the 2017/18 season. This comes after rumours circulated in the Swedish press, that the 35 year old was considering a move to the US at the end of the season.
“I can see myself conquering the US as I have with Europe.” Zlatan stated to Swedish outlet Aftonbladet last Friday.
The United boss speaking before tonight’s Europa League game against Feynoord at Old Trafford, stated, “We are happy with him. We are going to execute our option of a second season. After that he can do what he wants.”
Ibrahimovic has scored eight goals in 17 games this season in all competitions and will look to add to that in tonight’s fixture.
