Tom Green is our wonderful weekday host here at Hits Radio, kicking your day off from 10am with an entire hour of huge throwbacks - then continuing with a tasty selection of hits, throwbacks and a lot to make you smile!

But how well do you really know Tom? We've gathered together everything you need to know about the Hits Radio presenter, and asked him some of our biggest burning questions! Join us as we get to know everything there is to know about Tom Green...

What can we expect Tom Green's show on Hits Radio?

"Every morning we start the show with 60 minutes, in the mix, of the biggest and greatest throwbacks in the world. Without a doubt this is my favourite part of the show, getting to play music people have not heard for ages is such a treat.

"Equally, finding new ways to surprise listeners every morning is so fun."

Of course, Tom then continues our mornings from 11am, with him adding: "After that we have two hours of every thought which goes through my head on a daily basis - from stories about Turtle my sausage dog, to slightly less than ideal midweek hangovers and attempts to track down the world’s great curries.

"I would like to think there is something for everyone. There is no way a big story will happen on that day and we won’t be talking about it on this show. Mid-mornings are basically my safe place to chat with the listeners and have a laugh."

What’s his favourite thing about presenting his radio show?

"My favourite thing about the show is that I get to share my daily experiences with a group of people who really care about each other. When I got engaged last year, I was so excited to come into work and tell the friends that I have on the other side of the radio on Monday morning about everything that had happened.

"We do totally feel like a family on this show, because we are so ingrained in each others' daily routines.

"Equally, getting you lot onto the show to hear stories and dramas and real life experiences is a proper treat. It is just one big, pretty weird, family unit."

What made Tom start out on the radio?

He told us: "I have done radio my whole life. It is all I have ever known. I do believe I am one of the last generations of people who listened to the radio under the duvet at night with my headphones on.

"I remember those memories so vividly. I remember been a young lad in Preston, who through the radio, had a door into this adult world which I loved being a part of. I’d like to thank Colin Murray for those memories."

What is one of Tom's favourite memories from his radio career so far?

"My favourite memory from my radio career is any show which I have been lucky enough to host and build up an audience on. To broadcast to a group of people day in, day out, who return every morning to listen to each other talk nonsense is the main reason I do what I do. That is a privilege I do not take for granted.

"Equally, as I have got older, I have started to understand more the unique position I sometimes hold, as on the radio you can often be the only one in the room talking, so it is important you use that voice wisely."

What is his go-to Drivetime hit to listen to in the car?

"Take That! But this is mostly because in the car I am going to have to make a decision that also pleases my other half, Em!" N'aww!

What do the biggest hits sound like to Tom Green?

"I am a sucker for a catchy pop song. Every now and again, something will creep along which is absolute pop perfection. Right now I give that crown to 'Waffle House' by The Jonas Brothers."

Great choice, Tom! Fellow Hits Radio presenter Sam Thompson seems to be loving The Jonas Brothers at the moment too - check out what else Sam had to say in his Q&A right here!

What’s your ultimate throwback song?

"Anything which I can put into the category of house music. Since January and getting into running, my love for house music has found a new outlet."

What's one of your favourite interviews you have done?

Tom kept this one short and simple, saying: "Harry Styles. Every time! "

Of course, you can hear Harry Styles on Hits Radio!

As well as presenting on Hits Radio, what is Tom up to now?

"I am a big golf fan, so I do a golf podcast called Golf Is Ruining My Life, that is a weekly show, which lands on TikTok, YouTube and everywhere else you’d get podcasts from."

You can check out Tom's podcast Golf Is Ruining My Life here.

He added: "On top of that I write monthly golf articles for The Cut Stuff. I have also started doing some presenting for The Challenge Tour of Sky Sports Golf.

"Basically radio, golf, curries, running, turtle and em are my whole life... And that’s summed up daily between 10am-1pm!"
