Police are investigating a four-vehicle collision in Newmarket last week.

It happened at around 7.20am on Wednesday 31 March, at the BP filling station on the A14 eastbound.

A white BMW 1 Series was involved in a collision with three other vehicles and a fuel pump. Significant damage was caused to the pump resulting in the filling station having to close for over 15 hours.

Fire crews also attended to make the forecourt safe due to a fuel leak. No one was seriously hurt.

Officers would like to hear from any witnesses - including any motorists who may have captured dashcam footage of the crash.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Roads and Armed Policing Team at Bury St Edmunds Police Station on 101, quoting reference: CAD 38 of 31 March.
