Ipswich church bells to ring to mark a year since the death of Norfolk teenager

Two Ipswich churches will ring their bells this afternoon, to mark a year since 18 year old Raymond James Quigley died.

Both St Mary le Tower and St Mary at the Elms will toll around 3:30pm.

In a post shared on social media St Mary le Tower Church wrote: "We are tolling our bells as a mark of respect, on request of James' family.

"But also, as a way of acknowledging the grief and trauma brought by the horrors of knife crime. May such a thing never happen again."

Two people are currently standing trial accused of the Norfolk teen's murder.

They deny the charges.
