Two men have been arrested after fuel was stolen from industrial sites in Redcar and Cleveland.

The arrests occurred after Cleveland Police responded to reports of a break-in at a building site in the Guisborough area on Wednesday evening.

A vehicle was stopped by the Greater Eston Neighbourhood Policing Team, with a search finding a number of fuel containers, some of which contained fuel.

Two men, aged 36 and 39, were arrested on suspicion of a number of theft offences.

A 39-year-old man was further arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs following a property search.

Both men have been bailed in connection with the theft and drug offences.

A 39-year-old man has been charged with driving without a licence, driving without insurance, and failing to provide a sample.

He's due to appear before Teesside Magistrates Court in March.
