Fire crews tackle blaze on Newport industrial estate

Fire crews are still at the scene of a blaze that has been burning through the night in Newport.

People living near the Wern Industrial Estate in Rogerstone are being asked to keep windows and doors closed.

Pictures on social media show a building on the industrial estate well alight with flames high above the roof and smoke billowing into the sky.

Crews were called last night at around 9 o'clock with firefighters from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service still on site this morning.

Tiny Rebel Brewery's posted on social media saying it happened close to their building but that they're currently unaffected. They have paid tribute to fire crews - calling them 'heroes'.
