When it comes to Christmas adverts many think of those iconic adverts such as John Lewis' which, throughout the years have be a major talking point. However it seems that there's a different Christmas advert being talked about now, and it's been made with a much smaller budget - just £100.

Hafod Hardware in Wales have been making Christmas adverts for a number of years on a small budget, and the latest has struck a chord with many festive fans. This year's advert stars two-year-old Arthur as he sets up the shop with his family.

The advert has now received nearly half a million views in just a few days and the little boy's Dad, called Tom Jones, who also made the advert, said he hopes the advert will encourage people shop local.

According to the BBC, Tom said, "It has been crazy... we've been overwhelmed with nice emails and messages from all over the world.

"The underlying message... is these big companies like John Lewis, they do really well at Christmas.

"I understand Christmas can be a very expensive time for everyone and they need to save money where they can, but if they can afford to, just try and shop at your small independent shops and support us, it makes a big difference.

"It did cost £100 to make and most of that was the cost of the music."

Fans of the advert have also been taking to social media to say how much they love it. One commented, 'Such a lovely heartwarming advert. Wishing you and yours a very happy Christmas and prosperous New Year. Thank you so much for putting a smile on our faces. Beautifully done.'

Another said, 'So cute...made me cry as little boy looks like my son as a little boy. He used to like to help insisting on wearing same kind of apron. I've shared it with several fam & friends. May Hafod Hardware prosper this holiday season. Happy Christmas Greetings from Canada🇨🇦'.
