McDonald's officially launches its UK McDelivery service

It's something many thought was too good to be true, but fast food giant McDonald's has started its home delivery service in the UK working with UberEats!

Following the announcement earlier this year that they would be trialling this service, McDonald's have now starting offering home deliveries to customers in Leeds, Nottingham and London.

Here's what you need to know:

• Login to UberEats through a web browser or app to order.
• You can order from 32 locations across Nottingham, Leeds and London.
• You must be within 1.5 miles of the selected restaurants to order.
• Food can be ordered between 7am and 2am.

And if you're worried about the food getting cold before it's delivered, McDonald's partnership with UberEats will mean that "people can get the food they want with the speed and reliability they've come to expect from Uber," explained Mathieu Proust, general manager of UberEats.

The trial, which started this week, has already proved popular with many fast food fans.

At this stage there is no further information on whether we can expect the trial to be extended. In a statement McDonald's explained, "It’s very early stages, so while our restaurant teams familiarise themselves with the new process, we will be using the coming weeks and months to see what works and learn from what doesn’t."

McDonald's isn't the only fast food restaurant to start offering deliveries, earlier this year KFC started its own delivery service in London working with JustEat.

McDonald’s already delivers food in China, South Korea and Singapore.
