TikTok users left speechless at American woman's method of making a cup of tea

An American TikTok user named Michelle has shared a video of how she makes "hot tea", or "British tea"...or as we like to call it, a cuppa. The video has since gone viral due to Michelle's pretty unique method, with an outraged audience questioning pretty much every step of the process.

It pretty much all goes downhill from step one, where Michelle's daughter fills half of her mug up with water and pops it in the microwave for one minute. Once out of the microwave (yes, microwave) the TikTok star then instructs her daughter to fill the rest of the mug up with milk.

Next, according to Michelle, you simply, "drop the tea bag in, add the sugar and give it a little stir". By this point, the mug is half water and half tea, and by the amount of sugar added in, it's clear to viewers that Michelle has a some-what sweet tooth.

Traumatised by this tutorial, Brits took to the comments section to share their concerns, with one writing, 'NO NO NO NO!!!!!!! IM GONNA CRY' (sic) and another claiming, 'Looks like watery milk to me I can't deal' (sic).

One user even stated, 'this is a crime', with another adding, 'THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL'.

The video, posted on Monday (8th June) has now racked up over 711k views, 110k likes and a whopping 36k comments.
