This year Ed Sheeran has broken numerous records with his comeback album '÷'. It is his first album in three years and includes his number one song 'Shape of You'.

Here are just some of the streaming records Ed has broken this year.

Best FIRST WEEK streams for an ALBUM (Worldwide)

In the first week of release Ed's album '÷' had 374m streams around the world.

The previous record holder was The Weeknd who had 223m streams in November 2016. Ed broke this record in just over four days!

Best ONE WEEK streams for an ALBUM (Worldwide)

As well as FIRST WEEK streams Ed also broke the ONE WEEK streams with 374m streams in just one week.

The previous record holder was again The Weeknd with 267m streams in November 2016.

Best FIRST WEEK streams for an ALBUM (UK)

In the first week of release '÷' had 73m streams in the UK alone, knocking Justin Bieber's 'Purpose' off the top spot. 'Purpose' previously held the record with 20.5m streams in the UK in November 2015.

Best ONE DAY streams for an ARTIST (Worldwide)

'÷' had 68,695,172 streams in just one day.*

Best ONE DAY streams for a TRACK (Worldwide)

Ed's 'Shape of You' had 10,123,630 streams in just one day.*
