The 64th annual Grammy Awards have taken place, with Jon Batiste being one of the biggest winners of the evening, scooping up five of the eleven awards he was nominated for.

Chick Corea made Grammy Award history, as he was posthumously awarded two awards - for 'Best Improvised Solo' and 'Best Latin Album' - moving him into the 4th most decorated artist of all-time with 27 awards, behind just Quincy Jones, Beyoncé and Georg Solti.

Elsewhere, bassist, vocalist and composer Esperanza Spalding won her sixth Grammy Award to date for 'Best Jazz Vocal Album', Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga's joint album Love For Sale won 'Best Traditional Pop Album' and 'Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical', whilst Silk Sonic - the dynamic duo of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak - won all four of the awards they were nominated for, including 'Record of the Year' and 'Song of the Year'.

When and where did the 2022 Grammy Awards take place?

The Recording Academy originally scheduled the 2022 GRAMMY Awards to take place on 31 January 2022 in the U.S, but they have been postponed until further notice, due to worries surrounding global COVID-19 omicron cases.

The ceremony took place on Sunday the 3rd of April 2022 in Las Vegas (8-11:30 pm, Eastern Time / 5-8:30 pm, Pacific Time).
