Ezra Collective among Mercury Prize Nominees

The nominations are out for the Mercury Music Prize 2023 with FREENOW. London-born Afrobeat stars Ezra Collective have been recognised for their album ‘Where I'm Meant To Be’ alongside other Jazz FM favourites Loyle Carner for ‘Hugo’ and Olivia Dean’s LP ‘Messy’.

Jazz FM’s own Danielle Perry was on the judging panel for this year’s prize and was able to reveal the list on her Daytimes show this morning

The Mercury Music Prize is renowned for its commitment to championing artists across various musical genres and all stages of their careers. The judging panel, which included Danielle Perry, had the difficult task of selecting this year's nominees from a pool of exceptional talent.

Set to take place at the iconic Hammersmith Apollo in London on Thursday, 7th September, the Mercury Music Prize ceremony promises to be a star-studded affair, with all the nominated artists set to perform. The anticipation is high, as music enthusiasts eagerly await the announcement of this year's winner.
