A new jazz-inspired music festival is launching in Coventry: ‘From the Source’ will be held at the Warwick Arts Centre and programmed by Serious Live. Confirmed acts so far include Nitin Sawhney doing a stripped back set and marking 20 years since the release of his ‘Beyond Skin’ album, American rising star vocalist Judi Jackson, British violinist and singer Alice Zawadzki and a closing show called ‘A Change Is Gonna Come: Music for Human Rights’ featuring a stellar group of British musicians including saxophonist Camilla George, pianist Nikki Yeoh, singer Carleen Anderson and Midlands rapper Lady Sanity. It’s all happening from the 8th to the 10th of November, with plans to lead into Coventry’s year as UK City of Culture in 2021.
