Jazz FM Award-winning saxophonist and composer Nubya Garica is set to make her Proms debut.

Beginning in 1895, the Proms is an 8-week-long series of concerts, which take place at the Royal Albert Hall in London, which celebrates its 150 year anniversary this year.

Traditionally, the Proms were classical concerts, but have invited jazz performances over the past few years.

In 2020, Nubya released her much anticipated debut album - SOURCE - via Concord Jazz, featuring the much-celebrated keyboardist Joe Armon-Jones, Sam Jones on drums as well as Daniel Casimir on bass.

Nubya has recently scooped up a series of awards and nominations, including 'Jazz Instrumentalist of the Year' at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards 2021 and has had her debut album Source nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize Award 2021.

When is Nubya Garcia's Proms performance and how can I watch it?

Nubya Garcia's Proms performance will take place on the 18th of August 2021, with the concert being broadcast on the 20th of August 2021.
