The legendary guitarist's latest project is 'Road to the Sun'

Pat Metheny has announced a new album, 'Road to the Sun', alongside a new record deal with BMG’s Modern Recordings imprint. 'Road to the Sun' features two new works composed by the Jazz FM Award-winning artist and is performed by five of the world's leading guitarists: Grammy winners Jason Vieaux and the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet.
What's the tracklist?
Jason Vieaux, described by NPR as “perhaps the most precise and soulful classical guitarist of his generation” performs a four-movement solo guitar suite 'Four Paths of Light' and this is followed by the centrepiece of the album, a six-movement piece, 'Road to the Sun', by the fellow Grammy-award winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet LAGQ , who Metheny describes as “one of the best bands in the world”.
