Pianist and Jazz FM Awards 2020 nominee Ashley Henry recently spoke to DJ Anne Frankenstein about how his life has changed over the past few years since he was musical director at the Jazz FM Awards a few years ago.
Ashley reflects on his latest album 'Beautiful Vinyl Hunter', which has been nominated for 'Album of the Year' 2020, sponsored by Arqiva.
The pianist describes how his album has had a polarising effect. He explain how some people have embraced how it "touches on loads of different genres and it kinda connects the musical dots", but that "some people actually feel kind of threatened by it".
