Dance For Plants - Jazz FM Voices

Global grooves for plants and people

Author: Claire UmneyPublished 4th Oct 2021

Throughout 2021, Jazz FM Voices is asking - "what is important to us and our musical community?"

As part of this, we will be inviting some our favourite musicians, selectors and creatives to share the music that speaks to them and fuels their creativity.

This month, we've invited Liverpool based music and activist duo Dance For Plants!

Sam and Emily are providing a taste of what's to come later this month at their Baltic Bash in Liverpool city. Their moto is 'global grooves for plants and people' and this soul lifting mix will get you and your green friends boogieing with joy!

Dance for Plants Baltic Bash - Liverpool

The Dance for Plants duo are finally back for a fully-fledged club night after nearly two years since their first! This party will see them go back to back for the duration, digging deep to serve up a huge range of tunes from all over the world. Nothing is off-limits: Bollywood film soundtracks, Italo disco, Arabic reggae, funk and soul heaters, spicy zouk as well as a plethora of niche, wonky electronic stuff.

For every ticket sold, Dance for Plants will be planting a tree in Scotland through their partnership with The Future Forest Company. The remaining profit will be donated to World Land Trust, helping them with their crucial work maintaining and protecting some of our most vulnerable ecosystems across the planet.
