Throughout 2021 – the central point of Jazz FM Voices has been community. So, we continued that with our End of Year Party that spread across 5 nights between Christmas and New Year.

We visited London, Leeds, Manchester, Bristol and Liverpool – commissioning DJs to host an hour on Jazz FM that represents the sound of their city. Showing us what it means to go to a local party.

Manchester: Pablo Blanquito

Manchester based DJ, curator and event producer Pablo Blanquito presents an hour of music with a dancers mentality.

Bristol: Worm Disco Club

Nathan from the Bristol collective Worm Disco Club showcases an hour of his favourite cuts from 2021. There's some 'Worm Disco' releases, some broken-beat and boogie-fied sounds, and new music coming out of the city.

Liverpool: Dharma Collective

Liverpool based duo James Simms and Kole Akaju (aka Dharma Collective) present global sounds from jazz to disco.

London: Emily Dust

DJ, curator and broadcaster Emily Dust has an eye on global club trends and emerging sounds. A storyteller expertly weaving through the threads that bring disparate sounds together. Dancehall, baile funk, kuduro and gqom, kept together with the bass - heavy sounds of her native UK.

Leeds: NikNak

Leeds based turntablist and music creative NikNak presents an uplifting mix of jazz that’ll get you grooving.
