We're delighted to tell you all about Jazz FM Premium, our brand-new subscription that gives you more control over live radio than ever before! You can listen live with no ad breaks, skip up to six tracks per hour and access exclusive on-demand music, shows and specials from across the world of jazz and other genres.

Your Jazz FM Premium subscription grants you access to more than 80 exclusive online stations across jazz, classical music, rock and other genres. You'll also get exclusive on-demand shows and specials from across the stations and genres.

We have access to exclusive stations through your Jazz FM Premium account, and additional on-demand music, shows and specials from our other Premium radio stations

What exclusive features are part of Jazz FM Premium?

By subscribing to Premium, you get exclusive access to all the features below:

No ad breaks

Whether you are trialling the service or a subscribed Premium user, you will have no ad breaks for the duration of your subscription. As a Premium subscriber, you can listen live across Jazz FM, Scala Radio, Planet Rock, Kerrang! Radio, Absolute Radio and KISS with no ad breaks.

There are no ad breaks on all the exclusive online stations for all the Premium radio stations too, which you get full access to as a Premium subscriber.

Skip tracks

Skip tracks when listening to live radio or any of the online stations that are part of Premium. Simply click the skip button on the Web Player, App, or say "Alexa, skip", or "Alexa, next" on your Amazon Alexa smart speaker.

You can skip tracks live with a limit of six skips per hour.

Please note, the skip function is available on Breakfast, Midmorning's, Afternoons, Jazz FM's Greatest, Dinner Jazz and Late Night China Moses.

On-demand shows and specials

Explore exclusive on-demand programmes and specials including Jazz Family Trees with comedian Marcus Brigstocke, our landmark series The Music That Made Me and The Legends.

You'll all get access to exclusive shows and specials across all our Premium stations!

Online stations

With Jazz FM Premium, you have access to exclusive stations including Crossroads, Big Band & Swing and New Heat.

You also get access to over 80 exclusive online stations for all our Premium radio stations, including Jazz FM, Scala Radio, Planet Rock, Kerrang! Radio, Absolute Radio and KISS.

How much does Jazz FM Premium cost?

When you upgrade to Premium, you will automatically get a 30 day free trial to explore before you get billed. Premium costs £3.99 a month and gives you access to exclusive features and content on Jazz FM, Scala Radio, Planet Rock, Kerrang! Radio, Absolute Radio and KISS.

How do I upgrade to Premium?

There are two ways to subscribe to Premium:

1) You can visit our website and purchase Premium at www.planetradio.co.uk/premium

2) You can also subscribe to Premium through the Jazz FM App.

Regardless of where you subscribe you will have access to Premium features across all platforms where you use your Jazz FM account.

Listening on Smart Speakers

Amazon Alexa
To get access to no ad breaks and exclusive online stations, you need to link your Premium account to your Alexa device. Find out more about linking your account with Alexa

Google
Google speaker devices do not have a skill that supports ad-free streams and Premium only stations. However, you can Cast from mobile apps to get access. To do this you can follow this help guide for using Chromecast, Bluetooth or Airplay

Apple
Apple speaker devices do not have a skill that supports streams and Premium only stations. However, you can AirPlay from mobile apps to get access. To do this you can follow this help guide for using Chromecast, Bluetooth or Airplay.

Sonos
To access Premium stations on your Sonos speaker devices open the Sonos app and go to the settings tab. Simply tap on the 'services and voice' option and select the Planet Radio music service. Finally tap on 'reauthorise account' and follow the steps to sign in. You can also follow the steps provided by Sonos here.

Please note, you can't skip tracks using smartspeakers other than on Amazon Alexa. You can also skip on our webplayer and the Jazz FM App.

Listening on the App

Download the Jazz FM App and when you sign in your Premium features will automatically appear. You may have to update your App to the latest version.

What happens after I upgrade?

You'll receive an email confirming that you have upgraded to Premium and that you now have a 30 day free trial before you get billed to explore Premium.

You'll also get access to Premium for Scala Radio, Planet Rock, Kerrang! Radio, Absolute Radio and KISS included in the cost.
