Metalcore titans Architects appear to be teasing a huge announcement.

The Brighton band took to their social channels this morning to post a link to their official website. Once you press the play button on the landing page, fans are greeted with a mysterious video that melds mind-bending black-and-white graphics with truly spine-tingling orchestral music.

The sub-one-minute video ends with three ticks of a clock seemingly pointing towards a countdown to an announcement of some sort.

It’s currently unclear whether the music in the video points to fresh material or it’s a reprise of the orchestrals from their epic ‘All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us’ song ‘Memento Mori’.

Architects released a sublime, stripped back piano reprise of ‘Doomsday’ earlier this summer, which you can cast your ears on here:

Architects’ seventh studio album ‘All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us’ was released in May 2016 three months before Tom Searle died of skin cancer.

Non-album single ‘Doomsday’ was released last September. Tom started penning the song before his untimely passing, with his brother and bandmate Dan finishing the highly potent lyrics
