blink-182’s Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker will release their first album together in more than 12 years, ‘One More Time…’, on Friday 20th October 2023.

Boasting 17 all-new tracks, ‘One More Time…’ was recorded during the band’s reunion tour and it’s produced by drummer Travis Barker. The eagerly awaited record will be preceded by the lead single and title track on Thursday (21st September).

A description of the album says the songs it contains 'capture the band at the top of their game, layering in themes of tragedy, triumph, and most importantly, brotherhood.’

blink-182’s previous two albums, 2016’s 'California' and 2019’s 'Nine', both featured Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba. Their last album with Tom DeLonge was 2011’s ‘Neighbourhoods.’

blink were inspired to get back together to record ‘Neighbourhoods’ following Travis Barker and Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein’s near-fatal plane crash in 2008. The four other people on board tragically lost their lives, while DJ AM died from a drug overdose a year later.

In a four-minute video released to coincide with the ‘One More Time…’ announcement, blink-182 explained how unfortunate events shaped the lead song and the record’s title.

“On the album, ‘One More Time’ is written about ‘why does it take these catastrophes like me being in a plane crash or Mark being sick (Mark Hoppus battled cancer in 2021) for our band to get back together?’” Travis Barker says.

Tom DeLonge continued: “Coming out with these words, ‘One More Time,’ it’s like, ‘Hey, this is the last time we’re going to f--- this up.”

He adds: “I remember telling my wife, like, ‘I don’t think I'm ever gonna play music again, I don’t think I'm ever gonna tour again’. Until Mark told me he was sick, and then I was like, ‘That was the only thing I wanna do.’”

The brand-new album comes both digitally and physically on CD, standard black vinyl, and multiple limited edition physical vinyl variants including purple ooze D2C exclusive LP, red and clear marble coloured D2C exclusive LP, and egg splatter coloured D2C exclusive LP.

Additional offerings on vinyl include the coke bottle clear coloured indie exclusive LP, opaque white coloured Amazon exclusive LP and electric smoke coloured Spotify Fans First exclusive LP. The artist store will have a limited-edition cassette available.

blink-182 will grace the UK next month for a quintet of sold-out arena shows in London, Birmingham and Manchester.
