Bloodstock 2022 announces Friday headliner and 8 more bands
Behemoth join Mercyful Fate and Lamb of God
Polish extreme metallers Behemoth have been unveiled as the third and final headliner of Bloodstock 2022.
The band, who were previously set to headline the cancelled Bloodstock 2020, will top the Ronnie James Dio Stage bill on Friday 12th August 2022. They join Saturday headliners Mercyful Fate and Sunday night bill-toppers Lamb of God.
Behemoth frontman Nergal says: “Bloodstock has a very special place in Behemoth’s heart. They are one of the first major European metal festivals who took risks to position Behemoth as a festival headliner; a game changer for us in the UK!
“I can’t wait to get back onto the legendary grounds of Catton Park and raise some monumental hell with our legions! Until August!”
Also confirmed for Bloodstock 2022 today are Spiritworld and Dark Funeral who play the Ronnie James Dio Stage on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
The Sophie Lancaster Stage features new additions Belphegor, Heart of a Coward, Ferocious Dog, Blood Youth, Black Tongue and Heriot across the weekend.
Other artists previously confirmed for Bloodstock 2022 include Dimmu Borgir, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals (Pantera set), Testament, Exodus, Black Dahlia Murder, Gwar (UK festival exclusive), Bury Tomorrow, Sacred Reich, Life Of Agony, Butcher Babies, Vio-Lence, Bloodywood, Static X, The Night Flight Orchestra and Heathen.
Bloodstock takes place at Catton Park in Derbyshire from Thursday 11th to Sunday 14th August 2022.

The highly enigmatic guitarist, who wears a KFC bucket on his head, revealed his real identity on self-released 2013 album 'Pike 13'. It poignantly depicts a younger Buckethead – real name Brian Carroll – without his mask on and hugging his late dad.
