Bring Me The Horizon’s Mat Nicholls and Iron Maiden’s Nicko McBrain have both donated drum kits to a very special Teenage Cancer Trust auction.

Launched this month and running until Wednesday 12th December, the festive 12 Drummers Drumming auction is hosted at charitystars.com with all proceeds going to the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Nicko McBrain has donated the entire drum kit from Iron Maiden’s 2006 A Matter of Life and Death tour to the auction.

Nicko said: “This drum set has done the world tour, the WHOLE LOT, so please dig deep in your pockets to bid for the item. Money raised will support young people diagnosed with cancer so they don’t have to face it alone, particularly at this festive time of year.”

Meanwhile, Mat Nicholls has personally donated his 'That's The Spirit' SJC Custom Drum Kit used throughout North America during the Bring Me The Horizon’s 2015-2017 tours.

Also part of the auction is a That’s The Spirit 12” record signed by every member of Bring Me The Horizon.

BMTH previously performed as part of Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall with a live orchestra in 2016.

Other items fans can bid for in the 12 Drummers Drumming auction include signed and framed drum heads from Phil Collins, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith and Deep Purple’s Ian Paice.

Money raised from the auction will help provide life-changing nursing care and support for the 7 young people aged 13-24 who are diagnosed with cancer each day in the UK.

Last year, the Christmas auction raised £20,000 from drum equipment donated by musicians including Foo Fighter’s Dave Grohl and Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason.

Jane Ashton, Head of Music and Entertainment at Teenage Cancer Trust said: “Teenage Cancer Trust is so privileged to have the support of these world class drummers and can’t thank them enough for donating such brilliant pieces for auction.

“A huge thank you to the team at Remo too as we couldn’t have pulled this together without them. To see the drumming community coming together to do their bit in support of young people with cancer is very special. Every penny raised will go towards providing life changing care to young people who are having to deal with being diagnosed with cancer.”
