My Chemical Romance have uploaded their first YouTube video in a year, sparking fervour amongst their legions of faithful fans.

The defunct band’s YouTube channel unexpectedly sprang into life last night when they posted their 2008 concert film The Black Parade Is Dead! in its glorious 33-track, two-hour entirety for their fans to watch and reminisce about the good old days.

Unsurprisingly, the video has already been watched more than 100,000 times in less than 24 hours, and, just like any fresh MCR activity, it was met with an outpouring of excited posts on social media. Check some out below.

On Monday, Frank Iero made MCR fans’ hearts flutter when he quoted the ‘listens to my chemical romance once’ meme on Twitter in response to a post.

The meme features the phrase alongside a ‘before and after’ photo – usually a fresh-faced person who has transformed into an emo.

Talk of a My Chemical Romance reunion exploded last year when all four members of the band were photographed together at Frank Iero’s intimate 500-capacity gig at the Troubadour in West Hollywood.

In a series of photos posted on social media, the quartet were seen laughing and hugging each other after the show before they left in the same car.

In a June interview with Billboard, Gerard Way refused to rule out a reunion, saying: "I wouldn't count (a reunion) out, but at the same time everybody's doing stuff in their lives now that they're really enjoying.

"In some ways I don't really miss it; It had gotten so big it was very unwieldy. It took a toll on my mental life and personal life. The thing I'm happiest about right now is everybody's relationships with each other are really strong. That's more important than anything else to me.
