Chester Bennington’s widow Talinda has shared a video of her late husband laughing with his family just hours before he died by suicide.

Talinda posted the video on Twitter on Saturday (16th September) in order to show “that depression doesn't have a face or a mood.”

In the 40-second clip, Chester is seen laughing and having fun with his family as they dare each other to eat different tasting jelly beans.

“My next tweet is the most personal tweet I have ever done,” Talinda told her Twitter followers. “I'm showing this so that you know that depression doesn't have a face or a mood.”

Uploading the video, Talinda added: “This is what depression looked like to us just 36 hrs b4 his death. He loved us SO much & we loved him.”

Using the hashtags “#f--- depression” and “MakeChesterProud”, since Chester’s death in July Talinda has been highlighting how difficult depression is to spot and she has also been working to form an online community to support people who suffer from depression.

Last week, Chester’s 15-year-old son, Draven Sebastian, shared an emotional video to raise awareness for National Suicide Prevention Week.

With Linkin Park’s ‘Numb’ playing in the background, Draven says in the video: "I want to make a commitment that I will talk to someone before I hurt myself when I'm feeling depressed, sad, or going through a hard week, month, or year. I want to challenge you to do the same - to help yourself, not hurt yourself."

A week after Chester’s death, Talinda released a poignant statement to Rolling Stone Magazine saying her family’s life has now descended into “some sick Shakespearian tragedy”. She wrote:

"One week ago, I lost my soulmate and my children lost their hero – their Daddy. We had a fairytale life and now it has turned into some sick Shakespearean tragedy.

"How do I move on? How do I pick up my shattered soul? The only answer I know is to raise our babies with every ounce of love I have left. I want to let my community and the fans worldwide know that we feel your love. We feel your loss as well. My babies are so young to have lost their daddy. And I know that all of you will help keep his memory alive.

"He was a bright, loving soul with an angel's voice. And now he is pain-free singing his songs in all of our hearts. May God bless us all and help us turn to one another when we are in pain. Chester would've wanted us to do so. Rest In Peace, my love.
