Download Festival adds 21 bands & confirms return of WWE NXT LIVE!

Download Festival organisers have added 21 more bands to the already sensational line-up and confirmed the grand return of WWE NXT LIVE.

Newly added bands heading to the sacrosanct turf of Donington Park this June are Avatar, Hell Is For Heroes, Andrew W.K, CKY, Nothing More, Culture Abuse, Lawnmower Deth, Starcrawler, Bad Religion, Ded, Being As An Ocean, A, Ecca Vandal, Black Foxxes, Bad Cop/Bad Cop, Igorrr, Loathe, Kaiser Franz Josef, Helpless, Cellar Darling and Anchor Lane.

Already a firm Download Festival institution, the fully-fledged WWE NXT LIVE! show returns to a full-scale ring in the festival arena.

Colossal NXT names including Aleister Black, Adam Cole, Velveteen Dream, Ricochet, Nikki Cross, Shayna Baszler, Kairi Sane and The Undisputed ERA will descend upon Download for a weekend of high flying manoeuvres, action-packed matches and unexpected surprises along the way.

Download Festival supremo Andy Copping enthuses: “I am incredibly fired-up to welcome WWE NXT back to Download Festival.

“This festival exclusive marriage of rock and wrestling is totally unique and the only place where you can see the world’s most legendary rock stars and the brightest WWE prospects together. If previous years are anything to go by this is going to be the biggest most fun weekend ever.”

WWE NXT Superstar Aleister Black adds: “I've been a music guy all my life. Getting to combine the two things that I love the most, metal and sports entertainment, on one of the most exciting stages in the world and to perform for a fanbase that understands me and is responsible for my success will make this an unforgettable experience."

The new wave of Download Festival additions join a bill that boasts headliners Avenged Sevenfold, Guns N’ Roses and Ozzy Osbourne together with Marilyn Manson, Bullet For My Valentin, Black Veil Brides, You Me At Six, Parkway Drive, Rise Against, Asking Alexandria, Marmozets, Alexisonfire, BABYMETAL, Hell Is For Heroes and dozens more!

Kerrang! Radio’s Fresh Blood will also host The Avalanche Stage where the likes of Cancer Bats, Milk Teeth, Less Than Jake The Maine, and The Bronx will share the bill with previously announced headliners The Hives and Neck Deep.
