Simple Creatures and 16 more bands confirmed for Download Festival 2019

A further 17 bands have been added to the Download Festival 2019 line-up this evening (25th February).

Leading the charge are Simple Creatures – aka blink-182’s Mark Hoppus and All Time Low’s Alex Gaskarth – whose performance on the Kerrang! Radio hosted Avalanche Stage on the Saturday night will be a UK festival exclusive.

The duo, who release their debut EP ‘Strange Love’ on Friday 29th March, enthuse: “An evening of Trash-Pop reverie awaits you at Download Fest. There will be Creatures. They will be Simple. There will be singing and dancing in a big tent. What more could you possibly want?”

Also confirmed across the weekend are Dinosaur Pile-up, The Wonder Years, Roam, Kvelertak, Allusinlove, Queen Zee, Hot Milk, Lost Society, Nova Twins, The Picturebooks, Graveyard, The Hu, Goodbye June, Vambo, Cloud and Kim Jennett.

For wrestling aficionados, it’s also been announced that WWE NXT UK returns once again to Download Festival and, for the first time ever, it will be taped and aired as part of the weekly NXT UK show on the WWE Network.

WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne, NXT UK Women’s Champion Toni Storm, and Tyler Bate will be among the NXT UK stars taking part in bouts alongside superstars Trent Seven, Walter, Rhea Ripley, Jordan Devlin, NXT UK Tag Team Champions The Grizzled Young Veterans, Travis Banks, Gallus and many more to be announced.

Don’t forget Kerrang! Radio has launched a talent search for a chance to open the Avalanche Stage at Download Festival.

Your band could be opening up one of the major stages at the world's premiere rock festival, on the hallowed turf of Donington Park.
