Enter Shikari have premiered the studio version of new song ‘Stop The Clocks’ ahead of their appearances at Readings & Leeds Festival later this month.

Sharing its title with Enter Shikari’s 28-date Stop The Clocks Tour, ‘Stop The Clocks’ has been a live staple since December 2018 and has been performed over 60 times by the St Albans quartet.

Released via So Recordings, cast your ears on the killer track right here:

Enter Shikari singer Rou Reynolds says of ‘Stop The Clocks’: “2018 was the first full year in Enter Shikari’s professional career in which we didn’t release any new music.

“We loved how (2017 album) ‘The Spark’ was connecting with people and wanted to give the album its rightful breathing space, but, not wanting to be dormant, we began a new track towards the end of the year.

“Anyone who has seen us live recently will have heard ‘Stop The Clocks’ - it’s an upbeat post-punk pop track about the joys of human connection. When someone is open and honest about their vulnerabilities, others can connect with them, and then all of us can feel stronger and more comfortable.

“It conveys the relief, warmth and freeing nature of the normalisation of mental health struggles, following decades of stigmatism. A flickering flame of positivity in these difficult and regressive times.”

Truly spoiling their legions of fans, Enter Shikari will be performing two sets per day at both Reading and Leeds Festival - these will both be full sets of different material and on different stages.

Headlined by Foo Fighters, Twenty One Pilots, The 1975 and Post Malone, Reading and Leeds Festival take place from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th August 2019.
