Ex-My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way has promised fans a big music announcement this month.

The singer released his debut solo album ‘Hesitant Alien’ to widespread acclaim in September 2014 and anxious fans have been quizzing Gerard about follow-up material.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday afternoon, Gerard told his 1.19million followers: “On music things- expect an announcement in March. I know people have been wondering what is happening with the two tracks I completed.”

We’ll await Gerard’s announcement with fervent anticipation!

Last week it was confirmed that Gerard’s younger brother and former band mate Mikey Way is giving way his new album ‘Electric Century’ exclusively through Kerrang! Magazine.

Speaking about why he is giving the album away with the 9th March edition of the magazine, Mikey said: “We’re old friends. We have a really good rapport, I respect the magazine a great deal. You guys were one of the few magazines that we let into the bubble of my previous band.

“We were a little less guarded around you guys. And Kerrang!’s always done me solid. We have such an amazing relationship. When times were great, you had my back, and when times weren’t so great, you had my back. That’s really telling of a group of people – if they’re with you when times are tough.”

The ‘Electric Century’ track-listing is as follows:

1. You Got It All Wrong 2. Right There 3. Hey Lacey 4. I Lied 5. For You 6. Let You Get Away 7. Until The Light Goes Out 8. Someone Like You 9. Lately 10. Live When We Die
