The UK & Ireland leg of Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer’s Hella Mega Tour will now take two years later than originally planned in June 2022.

The three bands issued a joint statement at lunchtime today (28th April) confirming that the dates have been moved for a second time due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer said: “Europe + UK – this past year has been chaotic to say the very least, and while we hoped we’d be able to make the Hella Mega Tour a reality for you this summer, COVID had other plans.

“With that being said, your shows will now be happening in 2022. Your tickets are good for the new dates, so make sure you hold onto them!

“And for all of you in the U.S., we’re still planning on coming to see you this summer!”

Featuring the singles ‘Father of All…’, ‘Fire, Ready, Aim’ and ‘Oh Yeah!’, Green Day released their 13th studio album ‘Father of All…’ back in February 2020.

Singer Billie Joe Armstrong has shared a series of covers while in lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic including ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’, Kim Wilde’s ‘Kids In America’ and The Bangles’ ‘Manic Monday’.

Billie Joe also performed ‘Wake Me Up When September Ends’ for One World: Together At Home back in April April.

In February 2021, Green Day released a video for their brand new song ‘Here Comes The Shock.’
