Testament to their colossal popularity, Guns N’ Roses sold over 1 million gig tickets in 24 hours last week.

The 18-date European and six-date Canadian legs of their sprawling Not In This Lifetime Tour went on sale at 9am last Friday (9th December) and fans snapped up one million tickets on the first day alone.

Thanks largely to the popularity of the presale, the first date at London Stadium sold out almost instantaneously and the Los Angeles rockers announced a second show in the capital shortly after 9am.

Promoters Live Nation revealed the news before more US dates went on sale at the weekend.

Highly lucrative for Axl, Slash, Duff McKagan and co., the North and South American leg of the Not In This Lifetime Tour sold 2million tickets throughout 2016.

It’s estimated that the band raked in an impressive $116.8million (£88million) on the North American summer shows alone.

According to figures quoted by Billboard, Guns N’ Roses easily scored the highest grossing tour of the summer Stateside earning more than three times the $33,632,390 total by second placed Bruce Springsteen.

The last remaining tickets to the Saturday 17th June show at London Stadium are on sale from Kerrang! Radio Tickets now.
